« Casually Job Hunting...

I skipped posting last night due to a lack of energy. I wasn't really sick, I was just exhausted for some reason (and I don't even know why).

Anyway, the biggest news I had to share last night was related to the facebook version of BotFu fight. I spent awhile Sat. night reworking what I had to more closely mirror the real BotFu fight game.

Facebook users can now chat, train, etc. I also worked in support for profile updates and feed updates and wrote a quick and dirty invite page...however, I haven't released everything for it just yet. Mostly I haven't released the ability to fight your friends. I have coded it up, but I wanted to test out the feed and profile update stuff a little more first (since fighting a friend will rely heavily on them being alerted about their turn via these things). I am also waiting to release the 'invite' script until you can fight friends (because why would you invite them if you can't actually play with/against them?)

So I'm close to having the newer/better version out there for facebook, but I ran out of energy/interest late sat. night and haven't gone back around to it since. Soon though. Soon.

On other news, I dedicated one of my computers most of Sunday to downloading a massive zip file that I had hoped would contain some missing code. I eventually got the file down and extracted, only to be massively disappointed. None of the missing code was there either. *Sigh*. Guess I'll be rewriting that stuff tomorrow.

For BotFu, I stayed pretty quiet today only implementing a few tweaks based on player suggestions. The biggest of which is to have attacks in the fight area no longer cause a full page reload.

I also logged in today to log my predictor and tops picks only to find out that I had not yet loaded the schedule for today out! It's not a big deal as that loading is done via a simple script. So I ran that for the month of March and noted that I have not yet built in MLB support! Guess I now have two things to work on tomorrow.

Actually, if I stop to think about it, I'm sure that I have a massive list of things to work on tomorrow. But that's par for the course right?

Kevin Marshall - Who's That?

I'm just your basic programmer. I can't spell to save my life, I'm not the greatest story teller, and I often ramble on about nothing. This blog showcases all of that!
