« If it weren't for...

Once again I don't have a ton to report on today...I spent a small chunk of the morning working out issues with Oracle CLOB (and other Oracle LOB data types) and PHP OCI calls. Honestly, it's not so much a problem of how to do what we need with OCI in PHP as it is how to do it within our framework - so that it's easy and scalable in the future.

I have a few work-a-rounds I can fall back on, but so far nothing that fits well into the framework...so I'm letting someone else - someone much smarter - take a stab at it tonight.

With that off my plate for now, I dug into the process for generating ISBN numbers. As it turns out, it's a much easier process than you would think!

On other new, I threw together some depth chart things for one of my clients (Ruby based) and I also spent some more time getting one of my Twitter bots put together (Perl based)...though I didn't quite have it ready for release (thanks to lack of time).

Somehow that made for a fairly full day of hacking and slacking...

Kevin Marshall - Who's That?

I'm just your basic programmer. I can't spell to save my life, I'm not the greatest story teller, and I often ramble on about nothing. This blog showcases all of that!

If you're bored drop me an email at info at falicon.com or view my outdated resume.
